Brazilians

I've had the pleasure of listening to some beautiful music this week. There is a large conference here, Brazilian missionaries from around the region, I believe. There is a lot of musical talent in that room! At least one of the speakers was talking about anthropology, according to a brief conversation I had with an old friend who is attending. I'm afraid I don't know their whole program.

They leave Friday. Saturday the Dakar Baptist Church is coming for a family conference, anticipating 150 people. At the same time there is a Choir Retreat from EED. And Dr. Mike's medical team is staying with us for a couple days before they head out to do village clinics. We had planned to do a Talibe Day here at the Phare on Saturday, but the Baptist group is more than enough to fill the space! We'll be over in Ouakam at the little church there and squeezing in a bit. It's not convenient, but flexibility is the only approach to life here!

Greetings from the Toombs

Hi there! We've so loved the messages we've gotten from the folks at the Phare, so we wanted to send one back! My french has really gone down hill, but Aaron seems to have kept his up. Anywho...here we go! Thanks, Tad for sending all the messages and greetings to all from the Toombs in the frozen tundra of Arkansas!
