Couple of projects

The wind blew down the 'outside kitchen' last week. Aaron thought this was perfect, since the Wheaton Football team will be coming next month, and fixing up the outside kitchen is their project. Soon after it happened, Herve came up to Aaron and said 'we've got a problem. A group is coming in a the end of the month and they are going to need that kitchen'. Not that big of deal, actually. The Phare guys are on it today and everyday until its ready. They are building new beams and putting up the old roof, just until the Wheaton guys come.

Another project is the addition to the work shed. This will be handy on those days when it rains.

Aaron is always pushing a wheelbarrow of something. This time it's a big barrel full of compost. Making the Phare green is our dream:)

Infrastructure Investment

The big change of the last few weeks was out in front of our property. The bulldozers and hardhats and dump trucks arrived and suddenly concrete barriers and noise dominated the scene. The long announced expansion of our two-lane road to a four-lane divided one has begun. Certainly this all will take many, many months to finish. The section of road involved runs from our place all the way to the airport, around three miles of work.

It will be a wonderful improvement for our part of the city. It's a noisy disruption to experience right now, though!
