Doing Laundry
Some of the talibé guys come by each day for a meal of hot porridge. And others come for first aid. Many others. But even if Jane and Antoinette are unavailable, there is usually someone here doing laundry. Even more than the shower stall, water and soap and the chance to wash their clothes is a blessing to these guys, living as they normally do.
I went out yesterday and took a couple shots of them for Jane. She wanted to thank the kids and NHS sponsors who arranged a soap drive last spring at DA. The classes competed for a pizza party, bringing in as much soap as they could. They gathered so much we're still giving away soap daily without constraint 6 months later!
